A Message from Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

As an experienced teacher of English Language Learners and an ELL Instructional Coach, I understand very well the time pressures facing educators – not enough time for planning high quality instruction, time for creating engaging materials connected to the curriculum, or time for assessing student performance, and re-teaching or enriching further instruction.

I have created this program with the challenges we face in mind and expressly to help you support your ELLs with proven, doable and powerful approaches to accelerate their academic literacy skills. I’m excited to share with you timesaving, yet highly effective instructional tools, designed for ELLs at all language proficiency levels. As a bonus, you will see tremendous growth in your English-only students with these strategies as well. The activities I will share are classroom-proven, research-based and fun for students and teachers alike. You can use these activities across all content areas and instructional settings (whole group, small group and independent tasks).

I promise, you will leave this seminar with a wealth of high-impact strategies that are easy to incorporate in your existing program. Plus, you will actually GAIN BACK TIME and see significant benefits in your ELLs’ social and academic achievement. The techniques I share stem from best of what I and the teachers that I coach have found to be most successful with ELL students.

I look forward to meeting you at the seminar and sharing with you dozens of outstanding strategies for accelerating the academic literacy skills of your ELLs.
