A Message from Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

As a veteran occupational therapist, I understand the complexities of today’s school setting. We have become the go-to profession for handwriting, sensory issues and attention difficulties. Caseloads are growing and time is limited. Movement and physical activity are being limited and many of our students struggle to focus on learning. Our role is changing quickly, and we need to learn the most effective strategies to keep up with the demand.

I invite you to join me as I share innovative and easy-to-implement treatment ideas that will boost your students’ outcomes. I’ve spent years refining efficient and effective occupational therapy delivery in schools. I will also share the best free and low-cost resources available to you and your students, including dozens of the best sensory and regulation activities that you can use immediately after the seminar.

Throughout my career I have scoured the evidence to find the newest and most effective treatment strategies. We will follow AOTA’s Vision 2025 by learning to use framework and language to highlight the unique value of occupational therapy in your school. Working with visual-perceptual skills, posture and underlying foundational skills holds the key to improvements in our outcomes. We will have fun while learning creative ways to improve organizational and executive functional skills across the curriculum.

Join me for an engaging and enjoyable day together. I can’t wait to meet and share ideas with you!

Cara Koscinski
