Uniquely Qualified Instructor

Laurel Pederson is an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher and presenter. She engages her audience with a wealth of practical strategies and insight gained from 20 years of experience working with struggling students in her classroom. As the result of her consistent success and the positive impact she has had on numerous students caught in a cycle of failure, Laurel loves sharing her passion and success with her colleagues.

Laurel is the author of Helping Your Struggling Students Be More Successful (Grades 6-12), the resource handbook she created specifically for this seminar. Participants will leave Laurel's seminar with an abundance of practical strategies they will be able to use immediately in their own classrooms.

What Your Colleagues Say About Your Presenter

"I loved the multisensory activities for retaining memory – they were so much fun. We got to participate instead of sitting and listening. I loved it."

"I enjoyed the information about how the brain works and remembers information. This is important when understanding your students."

"So many project ideas for every grade level. I am rethinking how I structure my whole curriculum to make it more student centered and place based."

"Laurel had great stories from her own experience as a teacher. I could really relate to her examples."

"I am so thankful to find someone who uses humor not just in the classroom, but also in giving seminars. It makes for an enjoyable day."

"Most seminars do not give us an opportunity to integrate the strategies into our curriculum, or practice them. Laurel's seminar provides this practice to make the information usable right away."
