GENE POOLE is an experienced secondary mathematics teacher and Desmos user. He is a frequent presenter at local, state, and national levels, and AP Reader for College Board AP Calculus exams. Prior to becoming a math teacher, Gene worked many years at NASA Langley Research Center, supercomputer company Cray Research, and two engineering software companies. Given his computing and engineering industry background, Gene is passionate about using Desmos to help students discover the joy of understanding and applying mathematics. Gene also loves equipping fellow secondary math teachers with innovative, practical tools and ideas they can immediately use in their classrooms.
