What if you could make learning to read easier and more fun for your grades K-2 students? It is possible! And that is what this seminar is all about!

Learning to talk is a natural process. Learning to read is not – it must be taught through explicit phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, and comprehension instruction. We have exciting, new brain research that shows what happens inside the brains of proficient and struggling readers.

During our day together, we will unpack this research and learn very practical ways to apply it to build a phonics framework that provides all young students with a strong foundation and prevents them from years of struggling. We will also explore how oral language and listening comprehension are part of this strong foundation.

I will share dozens of methods and routines that you will be able to use in your classroom immediately – regardless of the reading or phonics curriculum you use.
