A Message from Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

Inclusive practices are more important than ever due to the increasingly diverse nature of our classrooms and schools today. But how can we best ensure our students receive a quality education and specially designed instruction that supports their diverse needs? The answer is co-teaching – an evidence-based, proven service delivery model that works! In my 32 years as an educator and inclusion specialist, I have witnessed miracles happen in co-taught classrooms!

I am very excited to share with you outstanding strategies to maximize the effectiveness of your specially designed instruction in a co-taught setting. We will explore the essential ingredients necessary to build and maintain a positive professional relationship, clarify the roles of both teachers, find time to co-plan, deliver substantial instruction, enjoy the experience of co-teaching, and much more!

I’ve had the pleasure of being an elementary and secondary co-teacher on both sides of the equation – as a special and a general education co-teacher. I look forward to sharing the best of what works and what doesn’t based on my own co-teaching experiences and those of the thousands of co-teachers I have supported and trained.

In our day together, you will receive dozens of ideas and methods designed to streamline your co-teaching practices and help you more successfully deliver SDI. Gain practical ideas for making best use of your co-planning and the six co-teaching formats. Explore real-life examples to help you work most effectively with your co-teacher to better meet the needs of the students you serve.

Join your colleagues and me for this engaging, down to earth day especially designed for elementary and secondary co-teachers.

Sincerely,
Susan Friberg

P.S. I hope you can join me for this fast-paced seminar, filled with great ideas you’ll want to use tomorrow. My promise is to make our day together informative, practical, fun, and well worth your time.
