This seminar will help you with ways to use fiction and non-fiction literature to create the strongest possible foundations in reading and math skills. We will also explore ways to help every student have better focus and pay attention to critical learning.

During our day together you will explore incredible children’s literature and how new books and trusted classics can help you increase your student’s engagement and academic success. In this seminar you will have a chance to see and do hands-on activities that will help your students stay focused on their learning while teaching them skills that will also improve behavior in your classroom. We will explore strategies to help develop stronger relationship skills, more responsible decision-making skills, and how to communicate more effectively … all of which will lead to increased academic success.

Drawing on my classroom experience and my work with colleagues, I will share dozens of easy-to-use classroom-tested strategies that you can immediately take ownership over and easily implement in your kindergarten, first or second grade classroom right away.
