A Message from Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

As a fellow school-based speech-language pathologist, I have witnessed how our scope of practice has changed over the years. I have provided traditional “pull out” services and inclusive “push in” collaboration; I have become an interventionist within the general education setting, working in classrooms, providing early intervening and RTI services; I have consulted with classroom teachers and teacher assistants; I have attended meetings with colleagues and parents; I have spent a lot of time doing paperwork, writing plans and reports, and differentiating lessons; I have advocated to administrators on behalf of my students and services. Sound familiar?

Treating children with speech-language disorders is one of the most rewarding jobs there is, but it can also be very challenging. Commonly, we have so many students on our caseload with very little or no time to step back and truly ensure that our therapy is effective, efficient and maximally impactful. Often, our students’ success rate remains low as our caseloads continue to expand.

This is why I designed this seminar. In our day together, I will share many outstanding ideas designed to give you back time for where you are most needed. I want to equip you to optimally help your students in highly effective and efficient ways! We will address common problems that very often impede our success with students. More importantly, I will offer solutions and ways you can bring about the changes you need to provide optimal services for your students. The main focus of our day will be to explore many outstanding strategies and methods designed to help you effectively and efficiently maximize your students’ growth.

I am eager to share with you many practical, timesaving and motivating activities and tips that I have personally found to be successful in my own speech-language practice! My goal is that you leave feeling excited and empowered with a host of great new ideas and a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to our important work.

I look forward to meeting you at the seminar!

Sincerely,
Patricia Iafrate Bellini M.S. CCC/SLP

P.S. I’m excited to share with you the best tips, strategies and solutions I’ve found to be successful in my own practice – all of which you can use tomorrow!
