Continuing Education Units

Unless otherwise noted, participants may be able to earn 5 state Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per day of attendance in most states where such programs exist (3 state CEUs per ½ day program). See below for specific state program information.

• ALABAMA:
  AL verification of attendance available.
• ALASKA:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in Alaska.
• ARIZONA:
  5 AZ Clock Hours available per day of attendance (3 AZ Clock Hours per ½ day program).

• ARKANSAS:
  AR Inservice Credit Available with district approval.

• CALIFORNIA:
  CA Professional Growth Hours verification available.
  For more information on continuing education opportunities and requirements, visit the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website.
• COLORADO:
  5 CO Contact Hours available per day of attendance (3 CO Contact Hours per ½ day program).
• CONNECTICUT:
  5 CT Contact Hours available per day of attendance with prior district approval (3 CT Contact Hours per ½ day program). It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the event.
  
• DELAWARE:
  DE Clock Hours available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the event.
  For Preschool/Kindergarten programs, 5 DE-OCCL Clock Hours available per day of attendance. Participants show their Certificate of Participation for verification of attendance at time of re-licensing for early childhood.
• DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in the District of Columbia.
  Participants need to personally inquire with their district whether the program qualifies/counts towards specific requirements for license renewal. The Certificate of Participation serves as verification of attendance if approved for credit.
• FLORIDA:
  FL Inservice Credit available with district approval. It is up to your district to approve for FL Inservice Credit.
• GEORGIA:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in Georgia.
• HAWAII:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in Hawaii.
  Participants need to personally inquire with their district whether the program qualifies/counts toward specific requirements for license renewal. The Certificate of Participation serves as verification of attendance if approved for credit.
• IDAHO:
  ID Inservice Credit available with district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit.

• ILLINOIS:
  At this time, we do not offer IL PD Clock Hours for Live Online programs.
• INDIANA:
  IN verification of attendance available.
  IN Library - Participants may be able to earn 5 Indiana LEUs per day of attendance for select book and library programs. The Certificate of Participation serves as verification of attendance. For specific IED programs eligible for IN LEUs, contact info@iedseminars.org or 1-800-260-8180.
• IOWA:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in Iowa.
• KANSAS:
  KS Inservice Credit available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve credit prior to the event.
• KENTUCKY:
  KY Professional Development verification available.

• LOUISIANA:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in Louisiana.
• MAINE:
  5 ME Contact Hours available per day of attendance with prior approval from your Local Certification Support System (3 ME Contact Hours per ½ day program). It is up to your Local Certification Support System to approve for credit prior to the event.
• MARYLAND:
  MD Contact Hours verification available.
• MASSACHUSETTS:
  MA Contact Hours verification available.
  MA Nursing: For programs in MA (Boston), CT (Hartford), RI (Providence), NH (Manchester), our programs meet the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing listed in 244 CMR 5.00 for 6 contact hours per day of attendance. • MICHIGAN:
  At this time, we do not offer MI SCECH (State Continuing Education Clock Hours) for Live Online programs.
• MINNESOTA:
  MN Clock Hours available.
  MN Administrators - At this time, we do not offer MN Board of School Administrators Clock Hours.
• MISSISSIPPI:
  At this time, we do not offer MS Continuing Education Units for Live Online programs
  
• MISSOURI:
  MO Inservice Credit available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the event.
• MONTANA:
  At this time, we do not offer MT Renewal Units for Live Online programs.
• NEBRASKA:
  NE Inservice Credit available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the training.

• NEVADA:
  No one-day credit available.
  For multi-day programs only: NV Contact Hours Verification available for Renewal Credit with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the training.
• NEW HAMPSHIRE:
  NH Clock Hours verification available.
• NEW JERSEY:
  NJ Professional Development Hours available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the training.
• NEW MEXICO:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in New Mexico.
• NEW YORK:
  5 NY CTLE Hours available per day of attendance for Live Online programs (3 NY CTLE Hours per ½ day program).
  CTLE (Continuing Teacher and Leader Education hours) Provider # 23465
  To earn NY CTLE Hours, you must attend the entire program and complete the IED online evaluation at the end of the program. NY State requires that you provide all the requested information (including full name, address, date of birth, last four of SSN). More complete details will be provided at your program.
• NORTH CAROLINA:
  No credit for one-day programs.
  For multi-day programs, 1 NC Renewal Credit for 10 hours of attendance with prior approval (IED programs are 5 hours per day of attendance and 3 hours per ½ day program). It is up to your organization to approve for credit prior to the event.
• NORTH DAKOTA:
  At this time, we do not offer continuing education units in North Dakota.
• OHIO:
  OH CEUs available with district approval. It is up to your Local Professional Development Committee to approve for CEUs.
• OKLAHOMA:
  OK Professional Development Credit available with district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit.
• OREGON:
  OR Professional Growth Hours verification available.
  
• PENNSYLVANIA:
  PA CPE Hours verification available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the training. IED's Certificate of Participation serves as verification of attendance.
  Pennsylvania Act 48 CPE hours must be reported by your District or your local Intermediate Unit. IED is not an ACT 48 Provider/Recorder, which means the responsibility for recognizing, granting, and recording professional development hours in the state database is with the participant and their Local Education Agency (which may be a District or Intermediate Unit). It is up to the Local Education Agency to determine if the activity is consistent with their PDE-approved professional education plan.
• RHODE ISLAND:
  5 RI Contact Hours available per day (3 RI Contact Hours per ½ day program). You must show your IED Certificate of Participation to your school/district to receive RI Contact Hours.
• SOUTH CAROLINA:
  5 SC Renewal Credits available per day with prior district approval (3 SC Contact Hours per ½ day program). It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the training.
• SOUTH DAKOTA:
  SD Contact Hours verification available. Your IED Certificate of Participation will verify 5 Contact Hours per day of attendance and may be counted toward the accumulation of fifteen (15) Clock Hours for (1) SD renewal credit. (3 Contact Hours per ½ day program).

• TENNESSEE:
  TN Credit available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the training.
• TEXAS:
  5 TX CPE Clock Hours available per day of attendance (3 TX CPE Clock Hours per ½ day program).

  Requirements to Earn TX CPE Clock Hours:
  • Attend the entire program.
  • Complete the required IED online evaluation after the program (serves as attendance verification), select the CEU option for Texas and provide the requested information.
• UTAH:
  UT Inservice Credit available with district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit.

• VERMONT:
  VT Inservice Credit available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the event.
• VIRGINIA:
  VA Renewal Points Available.
• WASHINGTON:
  At this time, we do not offer WA Clock Hours for Live Online programs.
• WEST VIRGINIA:
  WV PDCs (Professional Development Credits) available with prior district approval. It is up to your district to approve for credit prior to the event.
• WISCONSIN:
  WI verification of attendance available.
• WYOMING:
  IED one-day programs are not eligible for Wyoming credit. The state of Wyoming requires an event to be at least 7 contact hours to be eligible for credit, and IED's one-day programs are 5 hours of instruction. At this time, we do not submit our multi-day events for pre-approval through Wyoming. It is up to participants to submit for approval on their own and report their own attendance if they are interested in Wyoming credit.
