A Message From Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

As educators, we know that our gifted and advanced learners can end up waiting for others to finish, repeating what they already know, or disengaging with learning completely. Too often, this is met with additional work for both the students AND the teacher! Using key differentiation strategies, learning can be designed to extend thinking from the start, so there's no need to create extra work later for students who are already finished. Instead, from the beginning of your lessons, every student at every level can be actively engaged, appropriately challenged, and moving forward in their learning progression.

In this interactive, one day seminar, I will show you how to more easily identify what students already know to eliminate unnecessary repetition, increase rigor through tasks that meet students where they are, infuse creativity, and best of all, how to use practical strategies that fit all of the above into your existing lessons without increasing your workload! In our day together, learn how easily (and powerfully) you can enhance your lessons and activities to help each of your advanced and gifted students find appropriate levels of challenge regardless of background, preference, or motivation.

As an experienced educator specializing in instruction for gifted and advanced students, I have learned, refined and implemented dozens of research-based strategies and techniques for differentiating instruction. My goal for this day is to demonstrate the best of the best of these exemplary differentiated instruction strategies, activities, and ideas with you. Plus, you will leave with a digital resource handbook! I hope you will join me to discover new ways to meet your gifted students' learning needs in the classroom!

Sincerely,
Valerie Jasinski

P.S. You will leave with dozens of ready-to-use practical ideas and strategies you can implement immediately to better differentiate for you gifted and advanced learners with less prep time and without assigning extra work!
